Failing to identify element using Selenium WebDriver
Wed Mar 07, 2012 3:13 am
The element in question is "//*[@class=' x-btn-text administration']" ,
where a space has been added in front of the identifier string literal text.
The element is an object created by EXT JS by Sencha. I was able to do a workaround for FireFox
4.0 using this "//*[contains(@class,'x-btn-text administration']";, but IE9 fails to find the element with
this error: "cannot be evaluated or does not result in a WebElement".
Does InternetExplorerDriver not support the use of 'contains' method? Is there a way to find the
element for both browsers? Currently I am using selenium-server-standalone-2.16.1.jar
where a space has been added in front of the identifier string literal text.
