Help finding element with regex

I am using IDE, I need to use verifyText to verify that the product number shows up on the page, the problem is that the number changes so this works with this build however the next build the value may be 1.0.4.30, et cetera. How do I do this with IDE?

This is something you should manually change to make sure it is verifying the correct version number, in my opinion. How would the script know the version number is correct if it doesn't have a version number to compare to? Selenium doesn't know when you are releasing a version. You have to maintain your scripts.

The only way I can think of this working is if this version number is stored somewhere else. Then you could store it as part of the script and dynamically be able to compare it. Chances are though if it is wrong in that area, it is going to be wrong on the page, thus causing your test to pass when it should fail.
