I am very new to selenium. I have a question like how to check the broken link in the web application. If you have any idea on this please let me know.

Find the number of links on the page
Code:

linkCount = selenium.getXpathCount("//a").intValue();

then
track all the links
Code:


for (int i = 0; i < linkCount; i++)
    {
     
        currentLink = "this.browserbot.getUserWindow().document.links[" + i + "]";
        temp = selenium.getEval(currentLink + ".href");


          }

Get the response code of the URL

Code:
URL u = new URL(urlString);
HttpURLConnection huc =  (HttpURLConnection)  u.openConnection();
huc.setRequestMethod("GET");
huc.connect();
return huc.getResponseCode();


Then compare response code with 404

This will may solve your problem
