Post by srcsekaran on Wed Sep 12, 2012 8:32 pm

As a beginner, follow these steps additionally where you can easily proceed,

1. Download the latest version of Junit which is compatible for your browser.

2. Click the Setup file in the extracted eclipse path, Window > Preferences
- Java - Installed JRE’s - add existing installed java path.

3. Now File > Java project > Add the selenium client, server standalone
and junit in the reference lib tab.
You could record your app using the IDE in FF.

If anywhere hangup again post you problem, we will
resolve.

For selenium IDE, you just need firefox browser nothing else. IDE will work as add-on.
If you want to go with selenium RC, then you can use eclipse as you are using java language.
Download latest version of selenium server with java language driver from selenium.org website.
To integrate selenium RC with eclipse you can refer below URL, it will be helpful for you..

As you are starting with selenium, there are many helpful post on above mentioned URL.
