Se IDE missing "isTextPresent"

Post by dainova on Thu Nov 01, 2012 7:47 am

hi, all
I'm trying to implement logic to check if my page has certian element(ot text) and then I'll direct flow accordinly. I've read about isTextPresent IDE (yes IDE) command but I don't have it in my most recent installed IDE? What is wrong with mine setup? or do I need any extra plugin? add on??

I can do verifyTextPresent but I need to check on True/False condition, something like:
If TextPresent("sign out") then click button 2 end-if

I also plan to put this into Rollup so I will have more controls with IF (using js). We kind of stick on IDE for now, so trying to cheat to get more logic.-)

Thanks for all your help.

Try storeTextPresent, this will return true or false if that text is there or not:

storeTextPresent | sign out | x
echo | ${x} |
gotoIf | storedVars.x | button2
