Firefox Download Directory

Post by rsvore on Sat Nov 10, 2012 12:54 am

In my application using Python and Selenium which works fine. I need to change teh Firefox Download Directory. I tried changing it on Firefox itself but that didn't work. I think it needs to be changed in the Selenium web driver firefox_profile.py file. any idea how?
thanks,

Hi,

Yes. You need to change it in the Firefox profile that you are using for selenium execution.

Start fire fox using the profile that you use for automation and then edit the settings through Tools-Options-General in fire fox.

The fire fox preferences (including the download folder) are profile specific and also need a restart for the changes to take effect.

Hope this helps,thanks!
