Java webdriver opens multiple tabs Empty Java webdriver opens multiple tabs

While running the scripts, in case windows system gets locked, webdriver opens multiple tabs within the browser and hangs.

The same scripts works fine if the window is NOT locked.

is there a solution where webdrive continues to test on the same tab even in case window gets locked. We are using selenium-standalone 2.29 jar
