Unable to close the popup using selenium when opened for the second time

Unable to close the popup using selenium when opened for the second time in he same script.
Error message gets displayed. (Modify or Window was closed).
How should I be able to close the popup for the second time

Checked the post
It was related to windows dialog box
My clarification was related to an application popup window
when I open the popup(waitForPopup command) in the script, I was able to close the popup using (selectWindow command). This is for the first time.
When I try to close the same popup for the second time in the same script, the script fails...Please advise
