Get value of user name text field Empty Get value of user name text field

Hi all, I work over automation of tests for web based application.
So, I am wondering is it possible, to get the value of text field for user name?
Does somebody have more information about it?

If using webdriver then try .getText().toString() for your webelement

No Need of .getText().toString(), .getText() itself returns String.
