About Selenium Bugs

Post by rotaiza on Fri Jan 10, 2014 12:14 pm

Hi All!

I am making an analysis about the bugs characteristics of Selenium itself. It is really interesting that 34% of the registered bugs are FIXED, and the rest are marked as:

NEW 20%
INVALID 11%
WONT FIX 11%
DUPLICATE 9%
ACCEPTED 5%
NEW CLARIFICATION 6%

Also, just 4% of the total bugs are marked as WORKING AS INTENDED.

Would be great to start a discussion about this. What are the causes of this percentages? Why there are many invalid and duplicate bugs, as well as many bugs that are not to be fixed? Is the people raising bugs that should not be raised? Are they providing enough information about these bugs?

Any thought about this would be interesting!

Cheers,

rotaiza
