How to catch exception window written in JavaScript?
Wed Aug 18, 2010 9:33 pm
Hi all,
Recently I found a problem when testing Web UI with selenium. If UI has a runtime exception, and pop up an exception window, selenium can catch this exception and log the message. However, if the exception window is a part of Web UI, which is written in Javascript, how can selenium get the error instantly and stop running? Interestingly, when I run the test, selenium will ignore the error window and continue to click the buttons, even though you can not do any operations before clicking "Ok" when testing manually. The following picture shows the error window.
Thanks!
