How to use StoreAlert in Selenium IDE

on Tue Mar 29, 2011 8:52 pm
i tried following code,
type
users
1

store
'alert'
noofuseralert

click
//input[@value='Submit']

storeAlert
${noofuseralert}

nothing stored in that variable

i don't understand how to store alert text in a variable, so many sites i checked, but still i didn't get any idea about storeAlert syntax.

please reply any one.

use following:
storeAlert --> stores the text of alert. Also clicks on Ok
alertval --> This is the variable in which text gets stored

echo --> Print command
${alertval} --> value of the variable
