Selenium with Syncfusion Text box Control

Post by gajinder on Tue Aug 23, 2011 8:46 pm

I am trying to automate .Net application by using Selenium tool. In our application we are using Syncfusion control for some of the text boxes and other text boxes are .net text boxes. When i am trying to record that page which have text boxes which are using syncfusion control "Selenium IDE" is not recognizing those 2 text boxes.

I wrote script for those 2 text boxes manually like below :

When i ran the same script under Java-Eclipse while entering the values under all the text boxes including 2 boxes which have syncfusion control its entering fine but when i clicked on save button on the page , those 2 boxes values are getting deleted. As those 2 text boxes are mandatory i am not able to save the page.

Please suggest. Do I need to add some syncfusin controls to my script or is there any other way also to rectify this issue.

I have got the solution, Below is the script which i used. There was some hidden fields to the same text box,

selenium.type("ctl00_ph1_mtxZip_text", "32432-4324");

.getEval(""ctl00_ph1_mtxZip_hidden" ).value='324324324'");

selenium.type("ctl00_ph1_mtxPhone_text", "(123)-123-2342");

.getEval(""ctl00_ph1_mtxPhone_hidden" ).value='1231232342'");
