Hi,

one of the user face problem to verify the URL of the application. It's problem is:


Selenium ie = new DefaultSelenium("localhost", 4444, "*iexplore", "http://www.google.co.in/");
ie.start();
ie.showContextualBanner();ie.open(
"");



how to check wheather givenn url is launched or not?say if u given any wrong url, still selenium will launch that browser with gievn url.

hi,

You can do this with the help of following command:

storeLocation ( variableName )
Gets the absolute URL of the current page.

Returns:
the absolute URL of the current page

What you have to do is store your URL into variable and pass that variable into open command. Now, Get the actual URL from above command.

Finally, compare both your variable containing URL. If both matches, result verified otherwise fail.
