Highlight and copy text

Post by Xristio on Mon Nov 07, 2011 8:47 pm

Hi group,

I am a beginner user of Selenium. I used it at a previous job for quality assurance, and now I'm wondering if it can help me out as a macro recorder.

I have looked at other macro recorders, but they rely on X and Y co-ordinates to get things done. It would be a lot easier if I could target the element ID and copy all the text within that ID.

I have a labour intensive task where I'm copying and pasting results from a report generator that doesn't have any export options. Can Selenium help me out? Or, is there a QA program other than Jitbit and AutoHotkey that someone can recommend?
