Selenium help

Post by jagmumidi on Tue Jan 24, 2012 4:24 pm

Hi All,

I am new to Selenium and Also new to Automation... I am facing issues to bring automation for an existing application in our company.. so thought of asking help in this forum.

The application is a very based and its developed based on the wildcard search... for eg, the web application home page contains lots of fields text box with a legend associated with that field. User can enter Arch* and press enter in any of the field it will display list of records that matches this 'Arch*' condition.

Now, i cant use verifyTextPresent method in selenium as the resulted output might vary over a period of time. As its not a static data - how will i validate the wildcard search and its output are correct???

Thanks in advance.
