How to click at a control and if it is not there not to stop the script?
Fri Nov 01, 2013 11:53 pm
Hi I am a very brand new newbie:D
Cannot figure out:
I have a few dynamically created controls like: //a[contains(text(),'custom_cm_plugins')]
I need to click at them one by one and if one of them is not present just give a warning, not to stop the script and continue further.
I have for now:
clickAndWait - //a[contains(text(),'custom_cm_plugins')]
and it stops it the control is not there.
What should I do?
Thanks

You need to use IF condition. Search on net for IF-WHILE conditions with selenium, and you will get a js file. Follow the instructions and IF condition will be there in your selenium.
Then you just need to verify that element. Like If particular element is present then click on it.

- Selenium script interruption if no click on browser
- In selenium web driver , while running the script ,after the browser(modal) message box is displayed and closed by selenium , the next button click statement is not executing
- Unable to start script execution in IE browser it is showing IE Script Error with 'Yes' or 'No' buttons for Continue script execution or no.
- IDE not recording click on table row (with jquery click handler attached)
- Select the “back” button of the Firefox browser to right click and Select the Option from the right click Menu in Selenium Web Driver - Java
