selenium webdriver installation for Imac with OSX Capitan OS

Hello
for couple of days now i am trying to install selenium webdriver and without any luck.  I tried to do it in a number of methods:

1) try to install with python source, using the Terminal(sudo....)

2) try to install with python(pip or curl) using the terminal.(sudo...)

3) downloading JAVA SDK and try to install the selenium stand alone server, using the JAR file and the terminal.

nothing seems to be working. can someone here have a suggestion on how should i install selenium webdriver?
and wallk me through it?

*when i said "selenium webdriver" i mean to the all package: server and everything.
