up to what extent do we have to know a programming language for selenium

Post by satishvk123 on Thu Mar 22, 2012 8:32 pm

I am just confused about this that how much programming do we have to know for working on selenium. My another doubt is that do we need to know only the language elements or we have to implement very big logic just as developers do.

Java delelopers have to learn the entire language and they are implementing big logic.I want to ask that do we as automation testers or selenium testers do have to do the same thing what a java developers do.

Please help me as I know only the concepts of java but cannot big logic. For eg I know how to use the for loop or how it works but cannot implement logic using it.

Please help me as I want to make a carrier in testing.
