Cannot Upload Picture In Webdriver + Eclipse

Post by iframe on Thu Apr 25, 2013 3:22 am

I am trying to upload picture using this code

driver.findElement(By.id("SWFUpload_0")).sendKeys("C:pic.jpg");

it will not upload

If I try driver.findElement(By.id("SWFUpload_0")).click();

It will popup the box to choose the file but stops from there?

How can I upload The picture using the proper commands?

The path - "C:pic.jpg" does not seem valid
Can you open the file from windows explorer using this path -

"C:pic.jpg"

?

I apologize the command I am using is driver.findElement(By.id("SWFUpload_0")).sendKeys("C:\\pic.jpg");
Now I noticed the site is using a flash upload does anyone know how I would go about automating the upload using Autoit or something similar that perhaps is better than Autoit?

flash is not feasible with regular WebDriver API
could you execute java script to set path? You may like to check with you development team on this
