every element has a few xpaths, but firepath is only giving me one? Empty every element has a few xpaths, but firepath is only giving me one?

you know there are different ways to write the xpath to an element and get to that element, for example when recording a test case with selenium ide, there is a drop down menu that lets you choose which xpath (by position, by name, by id, by text contains) you want to use.
if i am not using selenium ide and im using firepath to determine an element's xpath, it only gives me one option.\

how can i generate more xpath options with firepath?

You may have to write your own xPath.
Selenium doc has some guide line on it -
