Selection of sub menus in Selenium IDE Empty Selection of sub menus in Selenium IDE

Wed Aug 12, 2009 2:54 pm
Hi, in our system we have sub menus. We also have the functionality that you cannot be linked into the same application twice. As soon as I run my tests, this new functionality breaks the tests. How do I select the sub menu, without it being broken?

Eg. Menu option 1 = Update
Submenu option - Client information

Thanks

Selection of sub menus in Selenium IDE Empty Re: Selection of sub menus in Selenium IDE

Hi,

Menu operation is performed by through mouse only. You can click on any menu through selenium if it is currently visible on screen. But if your menu is present into layers of menu option then it will not be handle.

For this you have to write your own code for creating logic for mouse operation using commands like

1 mouseDown ( locator )
2. mouseup( locator )

For more commands refer selenium core at following link
