Convert string (with decimal or a point) to a integer.
Sat Jun 08, 2013 1:13 am
Hello,
With Eclips and Apache POI i read values from Excel into a 2 dimensional array.
I read the values from the array, into a string variable in my Java script.
The value in Excel is visible as 1, the value in Java as 1.0
How can i convert the string 1.0 into an integer 1?
I tried:
int newvarname = Integer.parseInt("1.0")
But this gives an errror.
Who can help me?

I find an answer:
String str="1.0";
int i = Double.valueOf(str).intValue();
Output = 1
This worked fine for me.
Thanks for the answers
I hope this post can help some else.
