Can I have Selenium re-log into a page if I've been automatically logged out?

on Wed Sep 03, 2014 6:59 pm
There's a website that I want to stay logged in to but it will log me out every 20-30 minutes no matter how many times I  try to refresh or stay active on it. Is it possible to use Selenium to detect that I've been logged out and then click on  the login button when that happens?

Try like this. If you are logged out  then make a pop that tells you to log in again.

open
${baseurl}/mit_nemid/certifikater/

storeTextPresent
Log af
Login

gotoIf
storedVars.Login
true

open
${baseurl}/mit_nemid/certifikater/

waitForPageToLoad
30000

getEval
alert("Login again to system;)

You want Selenium IDE to automatically check every 30 minutes to see if you are logged out and if you are, log back in?

Are you running scripts and are getting logged out in the middle of them?  If so, why not just login to start? Otherwise this seems kind of pointless.

Basically you would have to run a loop, reloading the page every 20-30 minutes to see if you have been logged out.  If you were in the middle of something...oh well.
