Automation Framework: Jenkins with WebDriver?
Mon Jul 02, 2012 8:29 pm
Hi Team,
I want to create an automation framework using Web Driver. But need to know what kind of challenges I can face later on.
For Example:
1. I would need to use Selenium RC concepts so that I can use Selenium Grid later on?
2. To use Jenkins as UI for my test suit, I would need to use some Selenium RC concepts?
3. Is not there a way out that I do not refer Selenium RC and can create the framework by using Selenium Web driver completely(including Grid and Jenkins)?
Please advise
Thanks,
Lovekesh

1. You can begin with WebDriver (also known as selenium 2) and use Grid 2
2. Selenium RC has no relation with Jenkins
3. Indeed you can create your framework using Selenium WebDriver and CI as Jenkins. Webdriver and Jenkins also don't have any relation
