Restarting the browser in the same Test Case with WEBDriver
Mon Jul 09, 2012 2:22 pm
Hi,
Is anyone know that how to restart the browser in the same Test Case?
Just the browser. I want to open the web page check something than close and open it again in a cycle.
With the selenium RC I was able to do with this:
selenium.Stop();
selenium.Start();
Thanks,

With WebDriver, if you try to close the browser then it will terminate the session as well.
But I guess You may try either of below 2 options:
Option #1: driver.navigate().refresh();
Option #2:
String url = driver.getCurrentUrl();
driver.close();
//Add wait time here and then run below statement
driver = new InternetExplorerDriver();
driver.get(url);
Thanks,
