What is the selenium function to know the tab selected? Empty What is the selenium function to know the tab selected?

Hi,
I am new to know Selenium. I wanted to know the selenium function/command to be used to know the tab selected. Can any one please help me to resolve the issue?
More details on the problem/issue :
I have a webpage where 3 tabs are listed (say tab1, tab2, tab3). The webpage knows the tab selected in the previous test. In my 1st test, I will navigate to webpage having 3 tabs and select the tab (say tab2). In my next test, if I want to select the tab2 once again, the test is failing Sad (as tab2 is already in focus).

Appreciate any help provided to resolve the issue.
