Google Map is a complex UI, I would suggest to stay away from it for UI automation. You could use some test application listed here - http://www.allthingsquality.com/2011/11/sites-for-practicing-your-web-testing.html

Hi sonuchennai,

Can you be more specific on what you want to do with Google maps and the extent of automation?

Say - If you want to get the distance between two points through Google maps, it CAN be automated without any major trouble .
