Thu Feb 21, 2013 4:20 pm
Hi All,

I have an hidden element in my application something like below:

Code:
<INPUT style="BACKGROUND: #e1e1e1; COLOR: #000000" value="APPROVED APPLICATION" readOnly="readOnly" type="hidden" name="pCurrentStatusName">APPROVED APPLICATION

I am trying to do get Attribute on this element,

String Value = driver.findElement(By.xpath("//input[@name='pCurrentStatusName']")).getAttribute("value");

But Selenium is unable to find this element.

I tried all these 3 onthis element to make it visible

js.executeScript("document.getElementsByName('pProposalNo').readOnly=false;");
js.executeScript("document.getElementsByName('pProposalNo').visiblity='visible';");
js.executeScript("document.getElementsByName('pProposalNo').display='block';");

But stil I am getting Exception in thread "main" org.openqa.selenium.ElementNotVisibleException: Element is not displayed
