doubleClick() method is not working in Selenium rc.. Empty doubleClick() method is not working in Selenium rc..

Hi group memebers..
In Selenium Rc ,while executing the script I want to double click a button.For this I am using selenium.doubleClick("locator");This command is not working and even I tried fireEvent("locator","eventName") but this is also not working.It is not performing any action.

Please can anyone help me in finding a solution for this.
