xpath obtained thro Mozilla not working Empty xpath obtained thro Mozilla not working

 hi
 I am new to selenium.just want to know that whether the xpath which we get through mozilla r reliable enough because yesterday it was working but today the same xpath is not working:(
arent these xpath constant?

Need not be the same especially if the page is dynamic and it depends on the page data.
For example if the web page displays different number of data rows for different requests, the xpath will be different.
