Hi,

please more specify your question. What do you mean with "the application"? There are different types of application, webbased, desktop application, mobile application etc... but i think if you really want to do UI testing for a webbased application, the selenium webdriver is the best solution

Very broad subject. I strongly recommend you to buy a book on selenium if you dont want to read the users manual.
