Selenium RC and SmartGWT Empty Selenium RC and SmartGWT

Tue Jul 27, 2010 7:12 am
Hi,
I am using smartGWT and selenium. I would like to test if a window appears. I have tried to setID on the item but I have some weird UI side effect.
The command I would like to execute is something similar to this one
(but this one does not work):

selenium.isElementPresent("scLocator=//Window[ID="regexp:isc_MyDialog_.*:"]/item[0][Class="Canvas"]/");

Basically I have the dialog that has an ID like isc_MyDialog_{some
number} and depending on when it's called it has different IDs, and my
selenium tests do not guarantee order of execution, therefore {some
number} is unpredictable.

This regexp feature could also be used for clicks/text input/.. and could also be very useful to a lot of Developers
