Identifying the similar objects using xpath Empty Identifying the similar objects using xpath

Fri Jun 10, 2011 1:21 am
Hi,

I have a query on how to write the xpath for identifying the second input box in selenium. This below mentioned div tag is appearing more than once in my application and I want to give the input for the second input box which is having the same class, type but the name changes and also its not same everytime.

input class="crt_amnt" type="text" value="1" name="Quantity8097356" maxlength="5" size="6"
input class="crt_amnt" type="text" value="1" name="Quantity8098356" maxlength="5" size="6"

Can anyone help me in solving this issue?
Thanks in advance....

Hi...

You can start the X-path from the parent. SO that you can use //parent/input[2]. This will identify the second input box.
