read values from runScript method Empty read values from runScript method

hi,
my javascript function call which is defined in browser is not working with geteval so i am using runScript, I am able to get the values in alert but don't how to read these values?

selenium.runScript("alert(getBoundaries());");

PLease let me know how to get the values returned either from the alert or directly from the method.

I tried selenium.getAlert() but it is not having any response.. the alert box is keep on open, when i manually click ok then selenium throws error no alerts found
