Selecting the input for auto populating element Empty Selecting the input for auto populating element

Hi,
My scenario is that I want to select the input for a auto populating element.

I want to select the input from this element in 2 ways.
1st way: Click the drop down and then select the Currency that I want (In this case for example SGD
2nd way: I want to type the currency code/country name, then the matching value gets auto populated and then I want to select that option.
Please help me how I can perform the above actions.
I am able to click the element but unable to make the input selected.
Below options are being shown when clicking on the drop down.
