Selenium IDE in Firefox 6

Can anyone help me out to know more about installation of Selenium IDE ? I have a firefox version of 6 and it seems that Selenium IDE as an add-on does not support this version. Should I have to go with earlier version to install Selenium ? Please guide me as I am quite new to this..
